G protein gamma 1 (Ggamma1) encodes a protein involved in the G-protein coupled receptor signaling pathway. Ggamma1-product regulates actomyosin dynamics and contributes to heart morphogenesis, asymmetric neuroblast division and convergent extension movements during gastrulation.
