Description

A neomycin cassette replaces sequences encoding the a1 domain of the protein. The mutant allele was expected to encode only the signal peptide and the most N-terminal 7 amino acid residues of the protein. Immunohistochemical analysis of homozygous mutant embryos demonstrated the lack of intact protein.
