Description

All of exon 1 and two-thirds of exon 2 were replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Neither full-length nor truncated transcripts were detected by Northern blot analysis of total placental RNA obtained from homozygous mutant embyros. The absence of transcript was further verified by in situ hybridization.
