Description
Exon 1, which is the first coding exon, was replaced with a cassette containing cre and neo. RT-PCR indicated an absence of normal transcript in homozygous mice. Normal protein was undetected by Western blot analysis of skin extracts and by immunohistochemical analysis of embryonic retinal pigment epithelium.
