Description
Exon 4 and 500 bp of downstream intronic sequences were replaced with a neomycin resistance cassette via homologous recombination. Northern blot and RT-PCR analysis of liver mRNA from homozygous mutant animals failed to detect gene expression. Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant liver samples did not detect protein product.
