Animals carrying the mutation Lattm1Lov were crossed to a cre-expressing line to excise the floxed neomycin cassette, leaving behind the tyrosine to phenylalanine substitution at position 136 (Y136F), and resulting in the mutant line Lattm1.1Lov. Residue 136 is critical for Plcg1 binding. Presence of the mutant allele and the integrity of the gene were confirmed by sequence analysis.
