Description

Exon 1, which encodes the first 262 amino acids, was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette inserted by homologous recombination. The deleted region included the sequence encoding the C1 and glycogen binding domains as well as the Ser48 and Ser67 phosphorylation sites. The absence of normal protein was shown by Western blot analysis of homozygous skeletal and cardiac muscle.
