Description

Sequence encoding the initiator methionine and 74 downstream amino acids encompassing 85% of the unique CA1 domain was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Transcript was undetected by Northern blot analysis of homozygous mutant mice. Similarly, no protein was detected in homozygotes by Western blot analysis.
