LoxP sites were inserted upstream of exon 3 and downstream of exon 6. In addition, an FRT flanked PGK-neo cassette was inserted in intron 6. An frt-flanked neomycin selection cassette was removed by crossing mice carrying Mybtm1Jof to FlpE expressing mice, leaving loxP sites flanking exons 3-6.
