Description
A targeting vector was designed to replace the first exon, encoding 37 amino acids, with a neomycin resistance gene. RT-PCR indicated homozygotes lacked mRNA in bone marrow-derived macrophages. Protein was not expressed on the cell surface as shown by staining with a mAB for the TLR4-Ly96 complex.
