Description

Exon 1 was replaced with an eGFP-SV40-neo cassette. Elimination of the exon results in the loss of approximately half of the protein-coding region, including the first transmembrane domain. Northern blot did not detect transcript of the wild-type, but did detect transcript using an eGFP probe.
