The transgene contains a truncated human TGFBR2 gene under the control of the human MT2A promoter. The truncated receptor contains the extracellular, transmembrane, and juxtamembrane domains. Most of the cytoplasmic domain including the kinase domain is deleted. This mutant receptor acts as a dominant-negative mutation. The promoter contains four metal responsive elements and a beta-globin TATA element, splice sites, and polyadenylation signal. Five lines, 4, 15, 27, 28, and 30, were generated.
