The Dvl2 promoter drives the expression of Dvl2 with EGFP fused downstream of the 15th exon with a LoxP site inserted 3' of Acadvl, and a point mutation introduced at the codon 446. This mutation is predicted to alter lysine 446 to methionine in the encoded protein. The point mutation is identical to a varaint identified in Drosophila that abolishes planar cell polarity function.
