Description

Exon 8 and the polyadenylation signal were replaced with a neomycin resistance gene and a 3' partial hypoxanthine guanine phosphoribosyl transferase 1 gene. A "socket" targeting construct was used to permit subsequent knock-in. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on plasma extracts.
