Description

A 4107 bp deletion encompassing exons 3 and 4 occurred in the locus, leading to a frameshift mutation at codon 101. Expression levels of the mutant allele are reduced by two-thirds as measured by RT-PCR analysis, and the protein generated is predicted to not be able to interact with its heterodimer partners.
