Description

Insertion of a targeting vector placed loxP sites on either side of exon 2. Cre recombination removed exon 2 and shifted downstream sequence out of frame with exon 1. The resulting transcript would putatively encode only the first 73 amino acids of the protein. This peptide is predicted to contain only the first 28 of 137 amino acids that comprise the core homology domain.
