Description
A human MAPT cDNA encoding the longest tau isoform of 441 amino acids containing four repeats, with 2 N-terminal inserts replaced the endogenous mouse gene. Endogenous mouse Mapt protein is not expressed, and the inserted human gene is expressed in brain driven by a murine Thy1 promoter beginning at P15.
