Description

The mutation is an A-to-G transition at nucleotide position 18194 (Genbank genomic region NC_000067), near the 3' end of the sixth intron, that may impair the intron 6 acceptor splice site. Sequence analysis of Mlph cDNA from koala mutants has not been done; the effect of the mutation on transcript processing or protein translation is not known.
