Description

A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 4 and a floxed neo cassette downstream of exon 4. Transient cre expression in ES cells was used to remove the neo cassette and exon 4. The absence of protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on sciatic nerve extracts.
