Description
A floxed neomycin selection cassette was inserted in exon 1a replacing the two ATG codons and the intervening 34 codons. The neomycin selection cassette was subsequently excised by crossing mice to either B6.FVB-Tg(ACTB-cre)2Mrt or to 129S-Tg(Prm-cre)58Og. Expression of isoform E2f3a is disrupted but isoform E2f3b continues to be expressed. Specific deletion of the "a" isoform was confirmed immunologically. Expression levels of the "b" isoform were not altered.
