Description

A single copy of a construct in which the entire coding region was replaced with a hygromycin cassette was incorporated at the endogenous locus via homologous recombination. Insertion occurred trans to the pre-existing mutant allele. Transcript was undetected by RT-PCR analysis of bone marrow cells obtained from homozygous mutant mice. The absence of protein surface expression was confirmed by FACS analysis.
