Description

Trapped gene association determined by genome coordinate overlap and strand. The Hsd17b11 gene consists of 7 exons. Retroviral insertion disrupted the gene prior to the exon encoding amino acid 55 in a protein of 298 amino acids (NCBI accession number NP_444492). RT-PCR analysis revealed that the transcript was absent in the homozygous mutant mice.
