A BAC (280 kb) containing the Rfx2 gene was modified by insertion of cre recombinase in-frame immediately after the translational start codon in exon 2. The transgenic construct was used to generate 2 founder mice. One line demonstrated the expected expression pattern and was studied in greater detail.
