The full-length human laminin alpha5 (LA5; LAMA5) cDNA with a bovine growth hormone polyadenylation signal was placed under control of the tetracycline resistance-operon tetO (7 copies) and the CMV minimal promoter. The construct was microinjected into single-celled C57BL/6NTac embryos. 15 potential founders were obtained. 2 expressed the transgene in the expected pattern, and one of these was analyzed further.
