Description

The expression of Photinus pyralis (firefly) luciferase is controlled by a synthetic promoter containing three direct repeats of the transcriptional recognition sequence of C/EBP (PathDetect cis-Reporting System--Stratagene, Inc.). Seven transgenic founders were produced. Line 15 can be induced to express luciferase at a high level in the brain.
