The murine Thy1 promoter drives expression of the hAPP751 cDNA containing the Swedish (K670N/M671L) and the London (V717I) mutations. Immunohistochemistry confirmed high expression of human APP in the neocortex and hippocampus and moderate expression in the thalamus, basal ganglia, and cerebellum. Three lines were made, 16, 11, and 41. Line 41 is the highest expressing line.
