Exon 3 was replaced with the floxed human cDNA spanning exons 3 through 11. Flp-mediated recombination removed the selection marker. Cre-mediated recombination removed the human cDNA. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in the testis, epididymis, caudal sperm and liver.
