Automated Description
Enables Hsp90 protein binding activity and kinase binding activity. Contributes to protein kinase regulator activity. Involved in positive regulation of type 2 mitophagy; post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression; and regulation of protein kinase activity. Located in cytosol. Part of HSP90-CDC37 chaperone complex. Is expressed in 2-cell stage embryo and 4-cell stage embryo. Orthologous to human CDC37 (cell division cycle 37, HSP90 cochaperone).
MGI Description
PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele show complete embryonic lethality prior to organogenesis. In vitro, blastocysts fail to hatch from the zona pellucida and die after 3 days in culture. [provided by MGI curators]
