Enables sedoheptulokinase activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to cytokine stimulus; cellular response to lipopolysaccharide; and pentose-phosphate shunt, non-oxidative branch. Located in cytoplasm. Is expressed in trigeminal ganglion. Orthologous to human SHPK (sedoheptulokinase).
