MGI Description
PHENOTYPE: Deletion of the coding region causes olfactory sensory neurons to coexpress other odorant receptor (ORs) that function in axonal identity. A drastic reduction in OR protein level causes axonal coalescence into new remote glomeruli. Chimeric ORs and ORs with minor mutations preclude axon outgrowth. [provided by MGI curators]
