MGI Description
PHENOTYPE: Homozygotes exhibit alopecia at 25-32 days of age and lose all but the guard hairs at each moult. After moulting, other hair types are replaced but appear patchy. Heterozygotes lose all but the guard hairs on the ventrum while the dorsal coat appears less smooth than that of age-matched controls. [provided by MGI curators]
