WB Description
T08A11.2 encodes the C. elegans ortholog of splicing factor 3b subunit 1, also known as SAP155; by homology, the product of T08A11.2 is predicted to be a component of the U2 snRNP that is required for pre-mRNA splicing; large-scale RNAi assays indicate that T08A11.2 activity is essential for a number of processes including embryonic development, normal adult lifespan, vulval morphogenesis, locomotion, and transgene expression and localization.
