FB Description

Arsenic resistance protein 2 (Ars2) encodes a protein that binds the cap binding complex and plays roles in small RNA biogenesis. It facilitates miRNA processing from primary miRNAs to pre-miRNAs. In addition, it interacts with the product of Dcr-2, modulates its activity and is required for siRNA-mediated silencing and antiviral defense.
