The full-length human MYC cDNA is under the control of a modified rat probasin promoter that has a sequence composed of 2 repeats of the androgen-responsive region inserted into it (ARR(2)PB). To maximize expression of the transgene, the rabbit beta-globin gene fragment, KCR, which comprises part of exon I, intron I, and exon II, and contains the requisite splice donors and acceptors was added. Western blotting confirmed protein expression in the prostate. Four lines were generated: 32T, 35T, 37T, and 39T. However, the pound symbol (#) is used when line is not specified and/or lines are pooled.
